"The Eternal Realm of China's First Emperor"

On Thursday (Nov 1) night after work there was a small crowd from my team who ventured to the Hong Kong Museum of History to see an exhibit about the Qin dynasty and the terra cotta warriors from Xian.  Funny thing is there were more American's than Hong Kong team members who made the trip.

Enjoy my photos:

As we approached the museum there were cartoon characters of the terra cotta warriors - and Mei and Sophie posed by one more me.
The first part of the exhibit was "an augmented reality technology places visitors in virtual scenarios in which they can interact with the Qin tera cotta army, a polite charioteer or cranes in beautiful poses."  Here you can see Judd with 2 team members playing with some warriors.

Light projectors on 3 terra cotta warrior models of 1.8 to 2.8 meters tall recreate scenes from the production, the damage and the restoration of the terra cotta figures.
The next 3 pictures are from the neatest part of the exhibit in my opinion (except the warriors).  You walk into an area and you become part of the movie - it is all around you.

This is an interactive exhibit where children (and some adults) painted - with color and patterns - warriors on a screen which is then projected onto on warrior model.

The bronze bo bell of Duke Wu of Qin.

Sophie looking thorough an exhibit at me.

A belt buckle.

Info about the belt buckle

Actual stone armor wore - it looked real heavy.
The next 15 pictures are of actual relics from Xian.
