Made it to Hong Kong

Well I made it....  and have one day under my belt.  Did a little bit of exploring and found a Mc Donalds, a really good cake shop and a few 'grocery stores'.  Picked up some saltine crackers, Skippy peanut butter and a liter of milk to hold me over in case i get hungry in the middle of the night.  The milk actually comes from Austraila and it Ultra High Pasturized - thus it does not need to be refrigerated until it is opened - wierd but it tastes the same.

We have some sort of computer hook up in the apartment.  I am typing on a wireless keyboard and the TV is the monitor.  There is a USB port so I plugged in my phone in hopes of downloading photos easily - NOT.  So now some creative computing to get photos from the phone to here....

I did also fall in love with the "WhatsApp - Messenger" - I can text Patrick and know he will be there before I call him - very helpful.  I am going to try and Facetime my sister after I finish here.  Amazing what wifi can do.

Ok - did some creative computing and have some more pictures to share.

Enjoy

Did not take any pictures of my second flight - but thought I would show what was on the screen as we were landing.

And we are getting closer
View of the Bay from my apartment when I arrived.  It was pretty late and the next night the tall building has a light show - maybe I willl remember to take some more pictures of it earlier in the night,

First moring in Hong Kong.  Great view of Kowloon.  The park in front has a ton of people exercising every morning.

Another view of the harbor on the first morning.

View from our bedroom.  We have 2 blocks that are flat then you have to climb steps on all the sidewalks.

Morning #2 - not nearly as pretty,  Saw quit a bit of blue sky yesterday.

Added this picture for Claire.  There is a soccer field in the front and there were some 'hot' guys playing yesterday.  Hot in the sense of crazy because my phone said it was 92 and felt like 104.  The last building across the bay on the right is the Intercon many of us know so well.
