Let There Be Lights - Finally

Seven weeks ago we went shopping for lights and yesterday we finally got the lights hung.

It was all about a guy who knew a guy...  What an ordeal, but we love them.

One day this week for lunch Patrick and I decided to venture into a cafe we have seen for some time advertised as "Charlie Brown Cafe".  There were characters everywhere - see photos below.  It was a big hit with the few kids there, and the food was pretty good.  Now our question was - is anyone getting royalties on this???

After the lights were hung yesterday we ventured out to a drug store (Gwen is sick) and the grocery.  We hit a milestone - used up all the toilet paper we brought with us and have to switch to a local brand.  These is one US import - Charmin for US$10 for 8 rolls.  We decided to try below at half that cost.

We also found the infamous Hi-Chew candy.  On my first trip to Asia, my friend Megan fell in love with this and almost every trip after I would bring some home - even if it was from an airport lounge.  But - Target carries it now.   If she finds her way to HK - we have it....

So this week's blog was a little early - due to the fact Gwen is leaving for Korea in a couple of hours for work this week. (And she still has to pack).  So maybe next week's blog will be longer and a little more exotic.
