The Anderson's target Asia: The Perry's visit to Hong Kong

The day after returning from Osaka, my parents arrived in Hong Kong for a week visit after they toured the highlights of China for 10 days.

They were on the delayed flight from Shanghai.

YEAH !!

First day we went to visit Macau.

We went to the top of the Macau tower and saw a few people bungie jump.

On the way home from Macau Dad had his 2nd fitting for his custom suit.

The next day was a trip to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha (via the cable car with the crystal floor)

It would not be a trip to the Buddha without a picture of toes in the crystal bottom cable car - this time it was Mom's and mine.

In the ride over we saw a rock in the mountain that we decided was a face.

With the recent typhoon there were more waterfalls than I had seen before.

A Norfolk Island Pine. We did reasearch (googling) later to find out it was not from Norfolk, VA, but from Norfolk Island located in the south pacific.

Next day's outing was to the Flower Market in Mong Kok (and pick up the finished suit)

Sunday we went to Stanley Market via the Star Ferry - total tourists.

We did more than eat, but I did not photograph the souvenirs.

On Monday we ventured back into China to a Botanical Garden in Shenzhen. There was a little less English than I expected - but via non-sign language sign language we did get to see quite a bit.

Saw this cathedral cactus and through of my friend Vivian.

Then we saw a starfish cactus and I have only ever seen one in bloom before today - and it was in Vivian's backyard.

Ride home on the MTR in 1st class (that means you get a seat)

Tuesday was a holiday in Hong Kong - we decided to try and avoid crowds - that means we only went out to eat. Played lot's of pinochle. We ended the trip with dinner at "Spice" restaurant - a mix of Malay, Thai and Indian cuisines.
