The hotel was full of gorgeous orchids.
Monday night we visited a classical Indian music recital.
Wednesday after work we visited Ugrasen ki Baoli - a step well used for collecting collection and storage of water. It was an amazing structure.
| Dinner was at a tea shop - thanks for the picture Morag. |
Wednesday night was back to Dilli Haat for shopping and eating this time instead of Henna tattoos.
I did not see any cows out the office window this trip. But we did see a cow everyday - I pointed them out to the car as we drove around. Still fascinates me seeing them roaming freely in a huge city.
Instead we witnessed a protest - a peaceful protest. There were people chanting as they walked down the street then did a long sit in - in the lobby of our office building. Unlike MN we only occupy one floor of a 6 floor building. Apparently, the company on the 5th floor was not paying their employees - cause for protest.
Trip to Delhi ended with beer in Steph's room. One of the managers in the office told us we had to try this beer - so we did. We probably won't again (unless it is chilled).
And Thursday night (actually Friday morning before we took off) it was back to Hong Kong. I got to check another item off my bucket list. I flew on a 787 Dreamliner (in Business class - yeah!). About 2 years ago I traveled to Seattle to visit friends and we toured the Boeing factory - saw the assembly line as they were being built. So as I boarded the plane I knew where it came from. It was all it was hyped up to be - loved the higher pressurization.
So that is it 4 weeks (3 of travel) of hard work and as much fun as possible. Truly enjoyed it.
