Cruise Day #1 - Leaving Singapore

Next day was boarding our home for the rest of the week.  We sailed on Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas.  This was an older boat, but came our of dry dock from a refurbishment a week before we sailed.  There was almost 1,500 passengers with about 400 children (all on school break for CNY).  We found out later there were 28 American's, but we only met 2 who currently reside in the US - one in Atlanta and one in St. Louis - they were on their way to Bali from the cruise.

We arrived early to the port and were one of the first 20 passengers on the ship - which gave me the opportunity to take lots of pictures....

Deserted cruise port.  Apparently the Asian's are not like the American's and want to the be the first ones on the boat.

Solarium - this was the only time this pool was not a kiddy pool.

He picked a path up, but never tried it.

We decided to attend the show the first night - never made it back to the theater again.

On our way to dinner there was a guitarist playing in the atrium and the kids loved him.  Saw him a few more times and he was good.

Dinner the first night we chose to eat at Chops - a steakhouse.

Yes we found a familiar bottle of wine - we are pretty sure there is at least one of these in our storage unit in Shakopee.

The day ended sharing an amazing piece of chocolate cake.

  1. Wasnt the Solarium pool an 'adult only' pool? I was surprised to read your comment that the Solarium pool was only 'kiddie free' for one day? This would be disappointing for us as we would like to relax at a quiet pool area after a busy port day.

  2. Also - is there room to store your suitcases under the bed? Or ... is there space to store 2 fairly large suitcases somewhere in the room?

Thanks - your pictures are lovely! It looks like you had an amazing time. Thanks for sharing your experience.
