So the first tour we did was the 'green' route of Stanley and Aberdeen. Neither of us had ever been to this area so it was an adventure for both of us. We got off the bus twice - first at Stanley for the market and to find lunch then in Aberdeen to take a Sampan Ride.
Here are the highlights:
We started at Central Pier - a 20 minute walk from our apartment.
As we headed out we passed Patrick's idol - the 2 story Apple store in IFC.

Lots of tall buildings - this is the Bank of China - bad feng shui with all the sharp angles.
Stopped at the tram to the Peak - weather was not clear enough for us to waste our time on it.
Large green space - horse track and soccer field - right before the tunnel to the other side of the island.
On the other side of the tunnel was Ocean Park - a trip for another day - this is where HK keeps their pandas.
And we made it to Stanley Market - typical of most markets.
Lunch was Fried Singapore Noodles and Beer for both of us - friend recommended them and we will find more.
The bay in Stanley
Multiple times on the narrow road we came across road bikers who owned the road - crazy.
Aberdeen is know for it's boat people. There is a whole community originally from Malaysia who live and work on boats in the harbor.
There is a world famous floating restaurant in the bay.
It is called "Jumbo Floating Restaurant"
Here is a Sampan like one that took us on the ride through the boats.
This is the one we just got off of.
Here is the bus to take us back to Central.

One last big building - nick named the Koala Tree because it looks like Koalas hugging a tree.
