Tourist Day #2 - Tour #1 (only one today)

So we ended Day #1 in a British Pub with roast and corned beef and cabbage.  Then hit the MTR home - it was faster then the ferry that was part of the package.

We got a late start on Day #2 - knew we did not have as much left to see and started the day with a ferry over to Kowloon.  Spent a good part of the afternoon in the Ladies Market.  Patrick got a case for him phone and did some looking for a wallet that will hold HK dollars (as they are wider than the US).

Here we go:
First view of Kowloon from the Star Ferry.

There is the ICC and the places we looked at living.

A mix of boats in the harbor.

And here we are again - right where we were last night.

Now you can see the green Rolls Royces waiting for use in front of the Peninsula

Nathan Road in the day time.

Yue Hwa Chinese Products - great place for more 'authentic' souvenirs.

Cute Sign

Jade Garden during the Day.

More random shops

Ah yes - where we looked to live, but decided not.

We did look at a unit in one of these towers.

ICC again

Hong Kong Island with some palms in front.

China Ferry Terminal

Cool textured Coach ad.

Clock tower at ferries

One of many weddings getting photographed at 1881 Heritage.

Look at that tourist.

Interesting art people we taking pictures of.

Clock tower that would sound at one o'clock everyday to keep the sailors on time.

There is an original oil lamp in this picture.

Climbed the tower and took a picture out the window.

Wedding party still taking pictures.

I think part of this is actually a hotel - Patrick said we must come do tea here one day.

A ficus tree on top of it all.

Another view of 1881 Heritage

Here is a cannon that was used to signal noon time.

Another view of the cannon.

Another bridal party - Patrick thought a bride and her father - no just a balding groom.

Here they are again.

Door handles of a pearl shop.

Ride home on the Star Ferry - the back of the seats flip so you can always face forward - as the ferry does not turn around.

Looking out the window at HK Island

Another shot including Sheng Wan

Another Star Ferry

Star Ferry with Star Cruises behind it.

Back to the Central Pier
